Richland Plaza Office Park

Richland Plaza Office Park began as a rescue mission. The site in downtown Belleville, IL, was desperately in need of a new life; it started as one of the area's historic coal mines before becoming a grain mill. When BBA took over the unused mill had begun to crumble and was becoming an eyesore.

BBA envisioned redeveloping the land into the first Class A office complex in this historic city, where lawyers could easily commute to the St. Clair County courthouse and professionals could conduct their business in appropriate surroundings.

The buildings combine soft red brick and limestone with contemporary bronzed glass bands. The sleek lines are softened with a bow area of full-height glass on each side. The interiors continue the elegant blend of past and present with warm, rich woods and polished brass building hardware. Richland Plaza has won three Building of the Year Awards from the Building Owner's and Manager's Association of Greater St. Louis.
