Mark Twain Plaza
Edwardsville, IL, has preserved the small-town charm of its central business district. Old shops line the streets near a bustling, turn-of-century courthouse while traffic moves along at a pleasant pace. Mark Twain Plaza, a Class A office space developed by BBA in 1990, meets the challenge of blending new construction into the established background of Main Street. Mark Twain's site was one of the rare corners of town that had fallen into disrepair. BBA saw the opportunity to update the space and offer a new category of office to the market, sparking continued re-development and growth and receiving the Edwardsville-Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce Mayor's Key Business Award. Mark Twain Plaza consists of two identical brick buildings that total 89,118 rentable square feet and are joined by a central courtyard. The buildings offer a unique executive suite concept that allows smaller businesses to lease a space to fit their size and the ability to expand as needed.
