Gary is the founding partner of Balke Brown Associates. He is Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors. He is responsible for building relationships with key contacts, for acting as a facilitator in new business ventures, and for maintaining the corporate culture. Most importantly, Gary serves as an experienced resource that helps guide and shape the future of BBA.
Some of Gary's career highlights include:
- After gaining 10 years of experience at a national development company, went on to found Balke Brown Associates in 1979; this single-person venture has grown to include three offices in two states
- Led the company to complete 39 projects valued at approximately $230 million. This involved the construction or renovation of 3.3 million square feet of office, industrial and retail space.
- Holds leadership roles with local organizations such as St. Joseph's Institute for the Deaf, Southwest Bank, and the St. Louis Art Museum.
- Known as one of the most respected leaders in the St. Louis real estate community
