In 1979, Gary Balke formed the basis of this mission statement that continues to drive the company 25 years later.

Today he and company principals Steve Brown, Mike Donovan, Don Land, and Jim Tainter lead a team of 40 people that focus their efforts to fulfill this mission. They envision themselves as champions of quality buildings rather than of simply economics.

In addition to their expertise in development and construction, BBA provides property management and advisory services in Missouri and Southwestern Illinois. Listed as one of the largest real estate firms in St. Louis, BBA has developed, owns and/or manages a portfolio of over 40 buildings containing over 4.2 million square feet of Class A office and industrial space.

One of the keys to success for BBA has been their flexibility with project types. They added industrial properties to their portfolio in 1995 and have expanded into the multifamily market.
